Referring to the psychological experimental method of inducing emotions, as well as the concept of indirect emotional traumatization, Induction of Sadness stems from the need for a role model or archetype we can identify with, allowing us to finally acknowledge suppressed feelings we usually bottle up due to excessive workload, social conventions, or gender stereotypes specific to our context. A minimal yet hypnotic image is accompanied by an artificial PC voice that guides us through what could be a form of audiovisual group therapy, but ultimately reveals itself as a mere symptom of current times, where every activity requires an app, a reminder, or an alarm to act. Video is always installed in different screen setups. Work was presented at Kurzor Gallery in Prague, at GAMPA in Pradubice, at XY Gallery in Olomouc and was selected for Jiné vize selection (PAF).
