The performance Seance draws on the core principles of a spiritualist ritual, utilizing it as a tool to invoke the ghost of a family business. Through performative gestures, spatial elements, and text, the work examines an inherited desire passed down through generations—the drive toward family entrepreneurship. Grounded in a personal narrative, it traces how this intangible entity shapes daily family routines over decades. The autobiographical perspective gradually shifts toward the phantom itself, as it articulates the conditions of its own existence. Its physical manifestation is accompanied by a mask covered in dried rose petals gathered from the family field.
Seance freely follows the video work How to write a love letter to your ghosts (2024).
